Muka Ray: Popular Nollywood Actor and Director, speaks on his Love for Late Rashidi Yekini

Popular Nollywood actor and director, Muka Ray, speaks on his love for late Rashidi Yekini, need to develop grassroots football, poor administration, and many more in this interview with EBENEZER BAJELA

Do you love sports?
Yes, I do love sports a lot. That is one thing that binds the country together regardless of our differences. Even if my neighbour is not talking to me and Nigeria partake in a major tournament, trust me he will come to my apartment and that will be the end of our quarrel. Sport is very important so I love it.
.
What kind of sport do you follow?
I love to watch football. That is one sport I enjoy so much. I like the noise and the glamour especially when the Super Eagles are playing.
.
Do you still play football?
Very well, I still play football whenever I have the chance to. I do get invitation to participate in celebrity football matches. There was one I took part in at the Agege Stadium during the birthday celebration of a colleague. I think it was last month. So, you can see it wasn’t long ago that I played football.
.
What position do you play?
I like to play on the wing. The position we like to refer to as ‘seven’ because that is where I function very well.
.
Who is your favourite player?
Late Rashidi Yekini remains my favourite footballer and I like him so much that I still wish he was alive and still a part of the Super Eagles because he remains the best striker the country has ever seen. But for those still alive, I will pick Juventus star player, Ronaldo, ahead of any other person. Not even Messi can match his achievements.
